About Us

S.T.O.P. is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization dedicated to ending violence in our communities.  We differentiate ourselves by utilizing experienced instructors that have life experiences with the issues teenagers face. Our real world approaches are genuine and effective in meeting teenagers where they are.  We are committed to providing high quality life skills training for individuals and families using  technology and community resources to educate teenagers about violence and abuse.

S.T.O.P. will also work to prevent youth from making bad decisions which can result in criminality and the perpetration of violence and violent activity in the communities in which our youth live. The first step for S.T.O.P. is to prevent teens from turning to violence by changing their mindset about violence and securing in their mind the sanctity of life. During the preteen and teen years, young people are learning the requisite skills to form positive, healthy relationships with others. It is during these years that they need to learn how to cope with their emotions in such a way that they seek resolutions that include strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. S.T.O.P. focuses on providing multifaceted approaches to developing the skillsets necessary for teenagers to seek alternatives to violence and violent behaviors.

To ensure that the mission is achieved, S.T.O.P. has a Board of Directors that manages the organization so that it remains a leader and guiding light for teenagers in each community that it works in. Each board member demonstrates leadership, community involvement, philanthropy, professional and/or personal achievement, as well as an ongoing commitment to the values of S.T.O.P.
